Geoff Dell is currently completing a PhD researching airline baggage handler injuries and conducting research at Ballarat University. His other qualifications include Master of Applied Science (OH & S) Degree, Graduate Diploma in Occupational Hazard Management and has completed the USC Aviation Safety Program Management Course.
As part of the PhD research, Geoff Dell is asking interested and qualified ergonomists to view the pictures of subjects carrying out the baggage loading tasks using different commercial systems. The ergonomists are asked to identify the postures most likely to lead to injury and record their decisions.
The outcome of the research will influence design of future aircraft loading systems.
The following button will link you to the Ballarat University site where the photos can be viewed. There will also be a survey form where your answers can be lodged and compiled for assessment.
